问:您的业务/机构是否受到新冠疫情影响?程度如何?

Q: Is your business / organization affected by the recent outbreak of coronavirus? To what extent?


答:旅游行业受到了比较大的影响,同程集团也不能独善其身。


A: The tourism industry has been greatly affected. The Tongcheng Group hasn’t been able to stay aloof.



问:根据您的乐观估计,旅游业从疫情的负面影响中完全恢复需要多长时间?

Q: According to your optimistic estimate, how long will it take for tourism to fully recover from the negative impact of the outbreak?


答:旅游行业中的商旅刚需出行将是恢复较快的一个旅游服务业细分市场,随着各地逐步复工复产,3、4、5月或将分别恢复至50%、80%、90%景气水平状态;旅游行业的酒店、餐饮等恢复速度次之。总体来看,商旅出行、旅游休闲出行、景点业、餐饮业、酒店业等国内旅游服务业将在6月恢复至100%景气水平状态,7月或迎来明显的“爆棚”。


A: Business travel as a market segment will be the first to recover because of the rigid demand. Along with the gradual resumption of work and production in regions across the country, business travel will outperform the hospitality and catering segments with its total business bouncing back to 50%, 80% and 90% of normal level in March, April and May, respectively. In general, domestic tourism services including business travel, leisure travel, sight-seeing, catering and lodging will achieve 100% recovery in June, and may even respond with a surge in July.


相对国内游,入境游和出境游恢复速度会更慢一些,这主要取决于WHO对全球疫情形势的判断。此外,还取决于主要目的地国家在签证政策方面的放松,以及主要批发商、目的地国家、航空公司再次发布相关产品等措施。


In comparison, the recovery of inbound and outbound tourism will be rather sluggish, primarily depending on the judgement of WHO on the situation of global epidemic. In addition, it also relies on the relaxation of visa policies of major destination countries, as well as the measures taken by major operators, destination countries and airlines to relaunch relevant products.



问:您认为疫情后行业恢复应该关注的一个突出问题是什么?

Q: What do you think is a key point that our industry must pay attention to when it recovers from the crisis? (Please pick only one)


答:疫情过后,最大的问题应该是信心的问题,消费的信心、经营者的信心都很关键,先建立了信心才能谈如何恢复。


A: The key factor would be the restoration of confidence when the epidemic ends. Confidence is crucial for consumers and business owners alike. Only when the confidence is restored can we start talking about the subject of recovery.



问:您认为疫情可能为旅游业未来带来的一点变化(积极或消极)是什么?

Q: What change (positive or negative) do you think the outbreak may eventually bring to the tourism industry in the future? (Please pick only one)


答:我认为任何危机都有两面性,所谓“危中有机”。就这次危机而言,积极的变化可能是整个行业对于类似外部系统性风险的机制化防范会有一个深入的思考,可能会出现一些市场化的解决方案,这对行业的长期发展有利。


A: I think crises are double-edged. Every crisis brings with it an opportunity. As far as this particular crisis is concerned, a positive change could be that the whole industry will develop an in-depth thinking on the institutional prevention of external systematic risks of similar kind in the future. Market-oriented solutions may soon become available. This has to be a good thing for the long-term development of our industry.



问:您的机构在此次危机应对中取得的一点经验是什么?

Q: Please share with us a story of your business / organization in dealing with the crisis that others may draw experience from. (Please focus on one aspect)


答:强大的团队是企业应对危机的根基,危机来临,团队能够迅速调整状态进入极限生存模式,保持强大的信心和斗志,积极从危机中发现新的机会。


A: A strong teamwork lays the foundation for a business in dealing with the crisis. When the crisis happens, the whole team must swift to turn on extreme survival mode, maintain strong confidence and morale, and dig deep into the crisis for alternative opportunities.
